Acceptable use & content disclaimer · Updated May 26, 2026

What you can do with it.
And what's on you.

vSeeBox sells hardware. We don't provide, host, control, license, or endorse any content, channels, apps, or third-party services. Here's exactly what that means — and what you agree to by using the device.

● The legal terms

The legal terms, in plain English.

Hardware-only sale

vSeeBox sells a physical electronic device. The purchase price covers the device, its accessories, shipping, and the limited hardware warranty — nothing else. There is no service component, no content license, no subscription, and no implied bundle of any third-party offering included in the purchase price.

No content provided by vSeeBox

vSeeBox does not provide, host, transmit, sell, license, sublicense, curate, aggregate, or distribute any television channels, movies, sports broadcasts, IPTV streams, on-demand content, live events, music, audiobooks, podcasts, games, applications, or any other form of media. Any such content that may be accessible through the device is provided exclusively by independent third-party applications or services, and is governed solely by those third parties' terms and licenses.

No affiliation with third parties

vSeeBox is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, partnered with, or licensed by any television network, streaming service, sports league, studio, content owner, app developer, app store operator, or other media provider. References to third-party services or content in marketing materials, FAQs, reviews, or customer communications are for informational comparison only and do not imply any commercial relationship, license, or right of access.

User responsibility for compliance with law

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the vSeeBox — including but not limited to the applications you install, the services you sign in to, the content you stream, cast, record, or download, and the way the device is shared with members of your household — complies with all applicable federal, state, local, and international laws, including but not limited to copyright law, broadcasting regulations, content-licensing rules, parental-control obligations, and the terms of service of every third-party app and service you use.

No piracy, no circumvention

vSeeBox is sold for lawful personal use only. You agree not to use the device to access, stream, download, distribute, or facilitate access to copyrighted material without authorization from the rights holder, to circumvent any digital-rights-management or geographic-restriction technology, or to commit any other act prohibited by applicable copyright, broadcasting, or anti-circumvention law. Any such use is a material breach of this policy and the Terms of Service, voids any warranty, and is undertaken at the customer's sole risk and liability.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless vSeeBox, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, suppliers, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, losses, liabilities, damages, judgments, settlements, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the device, (b) any third-party app, service, content, or account you access through the device, (c) any violation by you of this Acceptable Use & Content Disclaimer, the Terms of Service, or any applicable law, and (d) any claim that your use of the device infringed, misappropriated, or otherwise violated the rights of any third party.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, vSeeBox shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, content access, or use, arising out of or related to the device, this policy, or any third-party app or service — whether based in contract, tort, strict liability, or any other legal theory, and whether or not vSeeBox has been advised of the possibility of such damages. vSeeBox's total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the device or this policy shall not exceed the amount the customer actually paid for the device.

Disclaimer of warranties (beyond the hardware warranty)

Other than the express 1-year limited hardware warranty and the 30-day refund window, the device, its preinstalled software, and any associated services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, uninterrupted operation, or compatibility with any specific app, service, network, or display device. No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained from vSeeBox or through the device, creates any warranty not expressly stated in this policy.

No support for third-party apps or services

vSeeBox customer support is limited to hardware questions, initial setup, and warranty claims for the device itself. We do not troubleshoot, install, configure, debug, restore, log in to, or take any responsibility for: third-party apps; third-party app stores; IPTV, satellite, OTA, or streaming services; third-party accounts or subscriptions; content that has stopped working or become unavailable; buffering, geo-blocking, or playback issues caused by your network, ISP, or a third-party service; or any other matter outside the operation of the physical device under stock manufacturer software.

Modification voids the warranty

The vSeeBox is sold with stock, manufacturer-installed software. Rooting, flashing custom firmware, installing alternate operating systems, modifying system files, or otherwise altering the device beyond ordinary user-level configuration is at the customer's sole risk, is not supported, and voids the limited hardware warranty. vSeeBox is not liable for damage, data loss, security issues, or unintended behavior resulting from any such modification.

Platform & software changes

The device runs an Android-based operating system supplied by the manufacturer. The Android platform, its preinstalled applications, and any third-party applications and services accessible through the device are subject to change, update, modification, deprecation, or removal by their respective providers at any time and without notice. vSeeBox does not control and does not guarantee the continued availability, behavior, look, feel, or compatibility of any platform feature, app, or service. Feature changes or removals by Google, the device manufacturer, or any third-party developer are not a defect and are not grounds for refund outside the standard 30-day window.

No internet, no display, no usefulness

The vSeeBox requires a broadband internet connection and an HDMI-equipped display to be useful. We do not provide internet service. We are not responsible for slow, intermittent, throttled, capped, or absent internet service; for routers, modems, Wi-Fi networks, or other home-network equipment; for HDMI-CEC interactions with your TV; or for any display incompatibility. Insufficient bandwidth, packet loss, or ISP-side restrictions affecting any third-party app are not a hardware defect.

Geographic scope — United States only

vSeeBox is sold and intended for personal, non-commercial use within the United States. We make no representation that the device, this policy, or any third-party app or service is appropriate or available for use in any other jurisdiction. Customers who import, transport, or use the device outside the United States do so on their own initiative and at their own risk, and are solely responsible for compliance with the laws of any other jurisdiction.

Age restriction & parental supervision

The device may only be purchased by a person 18 years of age or older. The device runs an open platform and does not include built-in parental controls beyond those provided by Android and individual third-party apps. Parents and legal guardians are solely responsible for supervising minors' use of the device, configuring parental controls within third-party apps, and ensuring that minors are not exposed to inappropriate content. vSeeBox is not responsible for any content a minor encounters through the device.

Accuracy of marketing & informational materials

Product pages, FAQs, blog posts, customer testimonials, advertisements, and other marketing materials describe the device's capabilities at a general level and are not a warranty of any specific third-party app, service, channel, or content remaining available. Forward-looking statements (such as the suitability of the device for any particular use) reflect our current view and are not guarantees. Specifications, prices, promotions, and policies are subject to change without notice; the policy in effect on the date of purchase governs that purchase.

Reservation of rights & right to refuse service

vSeeBox reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without notice, to refuse, suspend, or terminate the sale of a device, the provision of support, the honoring of a warranty claim, or any other interaction with any customer who: violates this policy or the Terms of Service; uses the device for any unlawful purpose; engages in abusive, threatening, fraudulent, or harassing behavior toward staff; misrepresents identity, payment method, or jurisdiction; or files a chargeback in bad faith.

Governing law & dispute resolution

This Acceptable Use & Content Disclaimer is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to this policy, the device, or any vSeeBox sale shall be resolved exclusively through final and binding individual arbitration, administered under the rules of a recognized U.S. arbitration provider, in California, and not by class action or class arbitration. Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in court only for matters related to intellectual property or to enforce an arbitration award.

Severability & relationship to other policies

If any provision of this policy is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. This policy operates alongside, and is incorporated by reference into, the vSeeBox Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy. To the extent of any conflict between this policy and another vSeeBox policy on a matter specifically addressed here (content, third-party services, copyright, and acceptable use), this policy controls.

Changes to this policy

vSeeBox reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the device after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. The policy in effect at the time of any given event applies to that event.
